The Horry Rough and Readys Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) was chartered on June 11, 2011 in Myrtle Beach, SC.

We are a historical honor society, preservation, and non-profit organization that strives to preserve our southern history and honor of those forefathers that fought to preserve the Cause.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans is not a hate group.  The SCV rejects any groups whose actions tarnish or distort the image of the Confederate soldier or his reasons for fighting.

Our official designation is:  Horry Rough and Readys, Camp 1026, 7th Brigade, South Carolina Division, The Army of Northern Virginia, Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Our Camp name and number was derived from Company G of the 10th South Carolina Infantry and the 26th South Carolina Infantry, which were from Horry District, South Carolina and surrounding areas.

Our regular monthly meeting is every 1st Thursday at  El Bethel United Methodist Church.  2811 W. Highway 501, Conway, SC.
If you plan to dine, the meal will be catered by Big D’s BBQ in Conway.  Cost will be between $10 – $12 per person.  Please advise the Adjutant in advance if you plan to dine.   Dinner will be around 6:00 – 6:15 PM and the meeting will start around 7:00 PM.

We are a member of the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce since 2011.
